Ø Diabetes people are advised before social gathering eat a healthy snack, foods which are served in the gathering should be asked before hand, so you can plan your meals.
Ø Avoid foods like rich gravies, fat foods like turkey, cream. Opt for a vegetable dishes with lower fats, sugar and salt.
Ø For a desert or side dish choose vegetables instead of rich cream and cholesterol
Ø Keep a side about food, instead focus on family and friends.
